The intervention, supervised by Architect Chiara Bettuzzi, was carried out on the ceiling of the grand staircase of the Biblioteca statale Isontina (Isontina Public Library) in Gorizia and involved cleaning and restoring the stuccoes which characterize the design.

The work brought to light the frescoes, opacicified by time, and restored the stuccoes, which were heavily compromised in some parts.

Unexpectedly, after cleaning one of the ceiling ovals, a further fresco came out from the previously applied paint layers.
